Xbox Live Free Trial Codes?

I recently bought an Xbox 360 and as I have heard, there is no Free Xbox Live Code already on my xbox. It says it came with one, but I don't have it.. I went to make a gamertag and I was connected to the internet and everything but it just says for membership; Silver $0.00, Monthly Gold $7.99, 3 Month Gold $19.99 and 12 Month Gold $49.99 and if I could please have at least a 48 hour free trial code that would be great to just send it in a message or email or something because I at least want to get a test try before I go ahead and make a commitment, Thank you

1. you can only add friends and talk to them with the free xbox live silver version, but if you purchase gold cards from any gamer store, thats when you can actually play head to head.
2. A Silver membership allows you to make a gamertag and be online, you just can't play games online without a Gold account. Check slickdeals.com or techbargains.net for deals on Live cards. You can also buy a 1-year Live membership plus a headset plus two games. This set is at Besy Buy, Circuit City, etc. It's a good deal for everything you get. If you bought the Xbox new, you should have a code in the box and you should go back to the store and tell them you were missing your code. Ask them to exchange the system for a new one. Be insistant and most stores will have to do it. If you bought it used it doesn't come with the card anymore.

4. Easyest way to get XBL on 360, is the link at the bottom of this answer.
